maybe is a collaborative project by Isaac Pool and Jessica Posner. maybe might mediate bodies, objects and maneuvers of feminism through willful mis-readings of canonical performance works. maybe was formed around 2011 near Union Square in New York City. Pool lives and works in NYC. Posner lives and works in New York State.

Beet Joy (maybe performance), 2016 from Isaac Pool on Vimeo. Beet Joy is a vegan re-imagination of Carolee Schneeman’s iconic 1964 Meat Joy performance. Beet Joy was performed as part of Movement Research at Judson Memorial Church, where Schneeman’s Meat Joy was also once performed. We are fairly certain Carolee Schneeman was in the audience wearing a “VEGAN” hair clip.
